RUSSELL KIRBY- State Director/Board President

Russell Kirby was born in LaGrange, GA, grew up in Madison, GA, and currently lives in Duluth, GA.  He is a middle school social studies teacher at River Trail Middle School in Johns Creek, GA.  He received an AA from Truett McConnell College, a BA in History from the University of GA, an M.Ed in Social Sciences from Piedmont College and an Ed.S in Administration from Lincoln Memorial University.  In 1999, Russell joined the Miss Atlanta Scholarship pageant board of directors.  In 2008, he became the Miss Atlanta’s Outstanding Teen Director, and in 2013 he became the Miss Atlanta Executive Director.  While serving on the Miss Atlanta board, four Miss Atlanta’s become Miss Georgia, and 3 Miss Atlanta Outstanding Teens became Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen.  Also, during those years, almost every year saw an Atlanta franchise titleholder named to the Top 5 and Top 10 at Miss Georgia.  In 2019, Russell became the Executive Director of the Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen program.  He is currently a proud member of the Miss Georgia Volunteer pageant and serves as its State Director/Board President.
